WHY DID GOD HAVE TO SEND HIS WORD?
Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction; they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.
Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of men!
And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!
Psalm 107:17-22
Why Did God Send His Word To His People? To heal them and to deliver them.
Why did God send forth his word to the earth? To provide the need for healing and the need for deliverance.
Why Did Jesus Come Into The World? He came in order to heal the world of sin and to deliver those who believe in him from every destruction that is caused as a result of sin. 1 John 3:8
Since sin entered the nature of man it brought humanity only corruption and destruction. Due to its presence in human nature, people engage in corrupt practices; they do things that hurt their spirit, their soul and effectually their physical body.
People are given to all manner of appetites because of the fall of godly standard in the nature of man. This is why healing is needed every day. God saw witnesses the destruction that happens when people are not healed, the damages that come upon their spirit, their soul and their body, therefore he sent the component of him, which is the provision for their healing – he sent his word. The purpose is to heal people from sin and the damages that takes place as a result of the presence of sin. The word of God spoken to us in these last days is Jesus Christ. He is the carrier of God’s healing provisions for all men. Medicine cannot heal any man, it only cures; it is the word God has sent that heals.
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.
Heb. 1:1-2
The word, Jesus whom God sends to the world had to be crucified in order to activate the multiplying effect of the healing virtues in his being.
God said that unless the word he sends to the earth has fulfilled its course, it will never return to God void (Isaiah 55:10-11). Jesus, who is the word of God that became flesh had to become man in order to accomplish that spiritual task in the spiritual being of man that will lead to a physical healing. He put on flesh so as to use the flesh to heal the flesh. The life if any living thing is in the blood. The spirit and the soul will not exist in a body that has no blood, because such body cannot be alive physically. In what Jesus did by dying on behalf of other human beings, he provided a wholesome healing process for the whole components that makes up any man. And his spotless blood was used as the atonement for the sinfulness of humanity.
